Work Experience

Mandatory FM, Stephenville, TX

Co-owner/Operator 12/2006 - 11/2009

. Developed advertising campaigns; implementation of spots,

imaging and marketing materials as well as oversaw the sales

team to ensure efficient, effective copy was created and

scheduled were all just a portion of my responsibilities.

Station broadcasts were coordinated with clients and I

established participation by listeners and client. As

listenership increased, I maintained our station website, raised

awareness on social networking sites and also tracked web

traffic.

Mandatory FM broadcasted Cisco High School Football (2007-2009

seasons) and Tarleton State University football and basketball

for the 2007 season. We were also a broadcast affiliate for

Baylor Football in the 2008 & 2009 seasons. Tasks included

developing sports-related advertising packages for both the high

school and collegiate level, implementing promotions to increase

awareness of sporting events and broadcasts such as station-

sponsored tailgate parties and being a key player in the

production of all broadcasts. Furthermore, my creative tasks

included writing, creating and implementing all sports imaging

and production elements as well as client commercials and sports

promos.

As co-owner, I was instrumental in developing successful station

promotions, marketing plans and sales opportunities while

maintaining the vital operations including the generation of

commercial logs, monthly billing and accounts

payable/receivable.

KCUB Radio, Stephenville, TX

Continuity Director/On-Air Personality/Music Director 06/2004 -

06/2006

. Succeeded in all production, music and general office tasks in

addition to hosting midday show. Assisted in all broadcasts of

Tarleton State University athletics including board operation,

promotional announcements and spot scheduling.

Dolphin Dock, Port Aransas, TX

Sales and Customer Relations Associate 07/2002 - 04/2004

. Promoted all trip packages, procedures and pricing when

scheduling customers for fishing charters. Also oversaw daily

maintenance of outdoor advertising, store inventory and customer

satisfaction with complete fishing experience. Increased

responsibility led to the planning and preparation of meals on

long-term angler safari trips.

City Limits/Agave Bar & Grill, Stephenville, TX

Marketing Manager 08/2001 - 05/2002

. Created and placed all in-house signs and posters promoting

concerts, events and nightly specials. Worked with owners to

develop promotional campaigns for company events that attracted

500 to 5,000 attendees, managing all direct-mail marketing

campaigns including design and production and served as an

instrumental developer of a benefit concert that attracted more

than 1,000 people and raised more than $11,000.

KCUB Radio, Stephenville, TX

On-Air Personality/Music Director 06/2000 - 01/2001

. I developed a unique format by listening to and selecting new

music to add to station playlist. Other duties included

scheduling in-studio interviews with musicians, compiling run

times for new singles and reporting playlists weekly to charts.

I also focused on writing and producing all station spots and

liners as well as assisting the sales department with writing

and producing copy for clients.

KTXN "Texas Radio", Victoria, TX

On-Air Personality 10/1999 - 06/2000

. Hosted midday show from 9am to 2pm weekdays with soothing and

pleasing delivery and mass appeal targeting the listener

demographic, ages 25-54. Responsibilities included high

visibility at remotes and special events as well as writing and

producing commercials for clients and station.

I created and implemented a more efficient procedure of

assigning cart numbers to spots, and was a pivotal team player

in the promotion and production of benefit concerts and events,

including the Texas Zoo's "Zoobilee" with more than 2,000

attendees.

Continuity Director 09/1996 - 05/1999

. Fulfilled radio/TV course credit for Tarleton State University

degree in Communications, gaining basic skills in broadcasting

and radio station operations. Upon graduation, full-time

responsibilities included hosting Saturday morning show, board

operator for remotes and athletic events, writing and producing

creative and compelling radio spots for clients, KSTV and sister

AM station. Experience gained included collaborating on the

development, production and promotion of a new Texas music show,

generating increased listenership and awareness of Texas

artists. This success story led to the formation of a listener

appreciation event that hosted more than five bands and 2,000

attendees.
