Started to work for a new start up company based in Long Island, New York
to open its doors in Detroit area for the development of an completely new
design of an internal combustion engine(s) for the power generation market.
The company also has divisions that retrofit and assemble armor plated
military,
combat, police type vehicles in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
Was only designer with 1 senior engineer chosen to help design a full
Armored, multi-passenger combat vehicle for Military usage using welded
level 4 armor plate to create a full body, compartment floor, firewall /
dash panel, and tubular cage front end with exterior attached panels to
cage, multi door with armor proof movable windows, full interior
reinforcement and seals, fabricated dash panel with instrumentation, multi
passenger seating and configuration all on a Ford class 5 medium duty truck
stripped truck chassis.
All work on this project was done in Unigraphics NX 3 and converted to
Solid Works for Fayetteville. I also had to manage the electronic data base
for part manufacture and fabrication in North Carolina including all design
changes. Exposed to CAD system Solid Works (North Carolina system) and had
to translate solid math data through the STEP 214 program functions in
Unigraphics. I also had to manage the OEM math data through translation to
Unigraphics from OEM native system using STEP 214 or IGES translations.
Also I had to source and locate standard parts, off the self items and
other various resources needed to build this vehicle and manage all math
data to support.

experience in 3D solid modeling with advanced techniques, advanced
assembly usage and knowledge, and advanced usage and knowledge of the

PDS, DFA/DFM, GD&T, VDP, and some SAE standards/requirements.
Have an extensive background in raw castings/machining, some plastic
injection mold experience, limit tolerance stack-ups, sheet
metal bending, stamping, forging experience.

steering gears, hoses and pumps.
Experienced in conventional steering systems, recirculation ball and idler

Was one of 5 people who were involved with Chrysler converting paper
drawings and layouts into 3D wire frame and surface models in the mid
1980's. (First generation computer modeling programs)
Was responsible for converting from paper to electronic, all the
current truck lines at the time including the pick-up, full size van
