questions related to the closed facility. Accepting other temporary

2009
Responsibilities included billing all Medicare and Insurance, cash
receipts, ancillaries and assistance with month end. After sale of
facility, remained on staff to negotiate final Medicaid adjudications.
Selected Contributions:
o Wrote macro that converted a GL report to an Excel spreadsheet saving 2
hours per week.
o Brought third party billing in-house and cleaned up, collected accounts
receivable.
o Saved 200K through final negotiations with state on Medicaid
adjudications.

Supervised of AP, AR and payroll. Completed of Cost Reports, managed cash,

cost reports identifying appropriate statistical allocations to maximize

o Developed and implemented a computerized tool to model staffing levels
compared to case mix RUGs III. Allowed the organization to adjust
staffing, control cost and monitor reimbursement effects.
o Co-selected an A/R package that included Medicare/Medicaid billing
functionality. Increased volume by 360% without adding to staff.
o Authored a user guide enabling ten employees at remote locations to
easily use a PC file database of Home Health Medicare billing
information. The information was so explicit that a new employee operated
the system for three weeks without the aid of menu prompts.
o Managed client fees of $382,000.
o Eliminated a cost to charge ratio problem by preparing easy to understand
executive reports that identified missing indirect charges in our pricing
strategy resulting in savings of $160,000 per year.
