Key Results: Excelled as a plans, trainer, and operations manager. Planned,
coordinated, and supervised multiple subordinate unit deployments
overseas. I have planned many successful annual training events,
federal and state emergency operations, while maintaining the
yearly training budgets. Drafted multiple organizational standard
operating procedure manuals to include the High Value Detainee
SOP for Sadaam Hussein and the Former Iraqi Regime, while
deployed to Iraq in 2004. Promoted to Operations Officer (S3)
during the deployment, and managed multiple combat operations,
with multiple units, to secure the new Iraqi Prime Minister,
President, and their counterpart's safety. I coordinated
training at the Baghdad Police Academy, and investigated several
major incidents that occurred while deployed.
Managed day to day operations and full time staff as the Military
Police Executive Officer. Successfully managed the following
staff sections: Human Resources, Plans and Training, COMSEC
(communications), Physical Security, Safety, Supply, and
Maintenance for 450 unit members and over 40 million dollars in
vehicles and property at four different locations.
Increased the personnel strength of the organization from 86% to
114% during the highest turnover period due to the organizations'
multiple deployments. Worked on a daily basis with recruiters to
ensure personnel positions were filled and ensured our retention
efforts were focused on sustaining personnel to maintain our unit
requirements. Supported the Adjutant General in managing over 700
military police during Hurricane Katrina, and was assigned Base
Security officer and coordinated directly with Secret Service in
securing the base for multiple President of the United States
visits. One of the few to be awarded the Meritorious Service
Medal for actions during Katrina.
Successfully managed two duty positions while deployed to
Afghanistan in 2009. Served as Brigade HR Officer and Base Force
Protection Officer. Successfully managed the personnel section to
ensure all personnel actions to include: benefits, evaluations,
awards, casualty and medical documents, and postal operations
were provided for over 900 soldiers. Coordinated the installation
of new security camera and detections systems for a base of over
5500 personnel. Managed all law enforcement activities for the
base including the initial investigations of criminal activity.
Successfully managed several large contracts as the Contract
Officer Representative for security of the base. Ensured over
700 local nationals were properly screened and badged before
entering the base on a daily basis.
(2) City of Ridgeland Police Department 1989-1998
Fulfilled a range of civilian police duties for the police
department. Gained proficiency and experience in: traffic
accident first-responder/investigations, police patrol,
ticket/report writing, felony traffic stops, search and seizures,
criminal investigations and suspect
interviewing/fingerprinting/processing.
Excelled in burglary and theft arrests that helped reduce
property crime stats for the city.
Effected several major felony arrests that warranted the
attention of local news media.
Worked with major department stores with their loss prevention
measures.
Recognition & Awarded two Bronze Star Medals, three Meritorious Service Medals,
Awards five Army Commendation Medals, Mississippi Magnolia Medal,
Mississippi Commendation Medal, two Humanitarian Service Medals,
and assorted federal and state ribbons.
Received Medal of Courage and Lifesaving Badge from Ridgeland, MS
