Human Resources & Payroll Manager

Argus Medical Management - Long Beach, CA - October 2011 to Present

Successfully manage all areas of HR including recruitment, employee relations, benefits, compensation,

training, succession planning, and worker's compensation for 50+ physicians and 250 employees working in a

family practice medical group with forty-five medical clinics throughout Greater Long Beach area. Collaborate

with Regional Managers and offices supervisors to ensure that all company policies and procedures are being

KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Saved over $250K in health benefits cost by transitioning health benefit brokers and negotiating rates and

discounts for renewals. In addition, negotiated monthly incentive payment from broker to cover partial costs

of payroll system fees.

- Implemented and administer electronic timekeeping system resulting in increased payroll accuracy, reduction

in payroll errors and compliance with FLSA standards.

- Plan Administrator of $21 million defined contribution 401(k) plan including annual fund evaluations,

successful annual independent audits and annual profit sharing calculation and funding. Member of the

company pension committee.

- Conceptualized, developed and lead a comprehensive 12-month leadership training/development program

for our Team Leaders, including courses on Microsoft Office, Email Etiquette, Business Writing and Time

Management.

- Plan, design and execute sexual harassment, harassment and alternative dispute resolution training.

Internet Brands, Inc. - El Segundo, CA - November 2006 to October 2011

Successfully manage human resources, office management & payroll functions for a fast-growing, dynamic

organization. Supported the organization through a successful IPO in 2007, public company operation, and

coordination.

- Partnered with recruiting to on-board over 2000 employees and contractors in a 4-year period. Developed

internal promotions and transfers.
