HSBC – Universal Account Reconciliation (UAR) is a Reconciliation System and a Global Standard used by HSBC Business Units

world over for Reconciliation. The Cheques that are issued by the corresponding BU’s are received as ISSUES and once the

cheque gets cleared the Information comes in the form of Paids. Once the Paids and Issues are received they are reconciled in the

system ReconNET. Once reconciled they are updated in the ORACLE database. If the Cheques are not reconciled the

corresponding business users are notified. ReconNET is widely used by more than 20 B.U’s of HSBC around the Globe.

ReconNET system reconciles over 3 Million Cheques per day.

Some of the important sub projects executed for HSBC UAR, London are, Escheat processing system, HNAH legacy

conversion, Account migration from Royal Bank of Canada to HSBC.
