Purchasing Agent

I purchased production, MRO, engineering,

electronics, QC product and materials for 4

different locations and 5 divisions of Amglo

worldwide. I would analyze vendor's availability

and cost of parts to ensure the most competitive

price for goods. I updated and reviewed the

inventory sheets on a daily basis, update with new

part information and update weekly reports for

meetings as well as analyze month end inventory for

accuracy before submitting to the accounting

department, return RMA' s and handle any accounting

issues. I regularly evaluate and update bill of

materials. Part of my duty was to oversee the

receiving department and remain familiar with all

the procedures.

materials. Alto used JD Edwards inventory planning

and purchasing modules. I purchased from suppliers

in Denmark, Germany and the US. I was heavily

involved in the implementation of the kanban system

and lean manufacturing. Purchasing management for

Alto US was in Arkansas, I was the only buyer in

Florida. I was responsible for everything from t-

shirts for employee events to the motors, hardware

and sheet metal for the pressure washers. As the

company was closing the Florida facility I worked

in receiving and reconciled invoices for the

facility.
