Assistant Range Safety Officer

Dominion of Canada Rifle Association - Ottawa, ON - August 2014 to September 2014

Responsibilities

Reported to office, set out to complete morning duties, and then go to assigned range to assist the RSO.

Our job was to ensure safety and standards on the range and everyone around them. Daily cleaning and

maintenance was a necessity.

Accomplishments

I helped with some coaching and teaching competitors to correctly fill out shooting tickets.

Skills Used

I showed immense responsibility, good conduct and an excellent work ethic.

Air Range Safety Officer (RSO)

Connaught CSTC - Ottawa, ON - June 2014 to August 2014

Responsibilities

Reported to the office each morning for assigned range and orders, each day we watched carefully as people

used the ranges for shooting and practice. Maintaining safety was the main task for an RSO everyday, but

other duties included maintenance of ranges, coaching, and occasionally fixing rifles.

Accomplishments

Sometimes shooting can be stressful, especially if you're being marked on it, there have been some times

were I've had to deal with people threatening other shooters, dealing with those situations can be difficult but

with patience and understanding I was able to control the situation.

Skills Used

Working as an RSO you must demonstrate responsibility, courage, empathy, patience, a good work ethic,

and competincy.

Show host

Pine grove productions - Lanark, ON - February 2013 to April 2014

Responsibilities

I had the responsibility to memorize lines given to me by the producer and take direction from the director.

Aside from that I interviewed many scientists and doctors for the show and sometimes had to come up with

questions to get more details.

Accomplishments

While we were filming, Frankie the other host, had some difficulty learning lines and getting stressed at times.

Her and I successfu worked together to practice our lines and complete the task as a team.

Skills Used

On this job I demonstrated good work ethics and communication skills needed.
