Proficient in 2D / 3D drawing with residential and civil design programs
utilizing MicroStation J / V8 and AutoCAD 2000 / 2002. Most notable class
projects included:
. Designing a two-story office building, complete with plumbing, electric,
doors, and windows. We designed tables using attributes displaying the
size, costs, and model numbers of doors, windows, plumbing fixtures, and
lights.
. Designing a cabin, after first finding the location of the site by plot
coordinates, our team started at the state 0 coordinates, found the
township, divided it up, and found the plot where the cabin was to be
built; and built the cabin with a patio, pool, and landscape. Putting in a
road and lake with boat ramp.
. Designing a machine with several parts and then putting it all together
on the computer.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
2009-2010 Grimes Trucking Phoenix, Arizona
Operated dump truck types 10 wheeler, 16 wheeler, end dump, belly
dump. Picking up debris from job sites also haling sand, rock,
asphalt and other materials to job sites.
2005-2009 Mountain Ltd. for Qwest Phoenix, Arizona
Worked in the Rehab Engineering Department creating new drawings,
using Engineer's notes, County Assessor's GIS maps, and city water
and sewer maps to document the layout of the area and create a
file for the project. Created client-specific templates and
folders used for completing and saving each project. Created the
drawing, plotted streets, curbs, sidewalks, rights-of-way, street
names, addresses, bore- and/or trench-lines, and added specific
dimensions. Made and numbered scaled layout sheets, placed break
lines, and print the project.
2004-2005 KPFF Consulting Engineers Phoenix, Arizona
Worked in the Civil CAD Department making corrections to drawings,
checking drawings for proper size annotations for scale, entering
annotations, changing text, referencing index files to drawings,
attaching and detaching files, making detail sheets, and fixing
red line corrections for engineer. Made prints for engineer
approval and sent approved drawings to printer company for copies.
Retrieved and delivered copies to the applicable cities or
companies. We did a lot for other company's.
2004 DMJM+HARRIS Phoenix, Arizona
Internship
Worked in the Civil CAD Department making text corrections to meet
Arizona Department of Transportation standards. Checked drawings
to bring annotations to proper scale, referenced index files to
drawings, attached and detached files, used clip boundary and clip
mask, fixed red line corrections for engineers, transformed boring-
logs from engineer's notes to computer formats including
annotations to simulate the layers of earth and rock they ran
into.
