ACADEMIC PROJECTS
Senior Design Capstone Project - Team Leader Fall 2014
• Worked in a team of five to design a passive split-belt treadmill for a Kinesiology professor researching
human gait adaptation in patients with abnormal gait due to neurological damage
• Managed project budget and schedule, and organized all project notes and documents in a project binder
• Fabricated treadmill by combining two passive treadmills and adding band brake resistance to each tread
individually
Design of Mechanical Components - Bracket Project Spring 2014
• Worked in a team of three students to design and fabricate a bracket that would support a Sensata pressure
sensor under a proof load of 88 lbf while minimizing the weight and deflection of the bracket
• Presented design to professor and peers as well as three Sensata representatives
• Utilized ANSYS software to test the bracket design against loading conditions and make failure load
predictions
• Machined prototype bracket and tested it against predictions
EXPERIENCE
Marguerite Concrete, Inc., Hopedale, MA May-August 2014
Project Management Intern
• Researched suitable materials and vendors based on project needs, and created product submittals in
accordance with contract requirements
• Maintained contract documents and prepared LEED forms for various projects
• Developed change order requests and issued purchase orders
• Organized and printed construction drawings and compiled project binders for project managers and field
supervisors
Healthcare Systems Engineering Institute, Northeastern University June-August 2013
Summer Intern
• Supported three project leads with healthcare improvement projects within major healthcare systems
• Collaborated with one project lead to develop a user interface tool in Excel for a faculty scheduling
program
• Created Power Point presentations, composed meeting agendas, and cleaned raw patient data for
predictive analysis run in SPSS software
