Fleming Foods Inc. /C&S Wholesale Grocer's, Inc. 1992 to 2007

. Managed over 200 vendors: Developed growth initiatives, conducted

business reviews, authorized new and discontinued items, set pricing,

sales, profit strategies and Wrote and negotiated weekly grocery ads

for 3 independent grocery retail ad groups (150 plus stores) with

annual sales growth of more 10%.

. Lead negotiator for regional and national sales service agreements for

a billion dollar business unit, grew sales by 2%.

. Managed an 18 million dollar IT program development budget and

supervised a team of 20 plus programmers who, wrote, tested and

implemented business buying systems enhancements including all Y2K

test protocols and key E-business web portal. (Never exceeded budget.)

. Started Fleming's first "Train the Trainer" program and developed a

mobile training center and conducted training sessions nationally for

over 2,800 retailers, Fleming Associates and vendors in a two year

period.

. Managed all business administration, purchasing, print out sourcing

Save Mart Supermarkets 1973 to 1991

. Direct responsibility for personnel management of over 120 employees.

Duties included: Employee recruitment, hiring/firing, labor

scheduling, personnel development and training, labor relations,

arbitration in union disputes and unemployment hearings.

. Led an under-performing store (ranked 24th out of 29 stores) to one of

the top 5 in two years.

. Developed Customer Service Program later adopted by the 100-store

Chain that was credited with a 5% increase in sales company wide.

. Supervised transitions of new store acquisitions including evaluation

of existing staff, training of all staff in new company policies.

. Implemented the first Hispanic Foods Department and Ethnic Community

Relations Program. Received innovative recognition by "Progressive

Grocer's Magazine" as one of top ten retailers of the year 1988.
