Twin Valley Behavioral Healthcare – ETA Contract Employee 10 months from Dec, 2009 – Oct, 2010.
• Assisted in Nursing Services as a Psychiatric Attendant/ Therapeutic Program Worker in a Forensic
Psychiatric facility providing direct care to mentally ill patients.
• Computed daily, and weekly behavioral observations of patients while in a maximum security work
environment and civil working environment.
• Completed a training program on Crisis Intervention Training, Certified in CPR and First aid, and received
introductory information regarding Union Regulations, EEOC Compliances, and Labor Laws.
NetCare Corporation – Qualified Mental Health Specialist from May, 2009- Dec, 2010.
• Worked in a transitional housing program for Mental Health clients.
• Conducted an in-depth analysis of the clients problems by performing Intake interviews, conducted surveys for
post admissions to the housing facility, created a safety plan in conjunction with clients treatment plan, and
facilitated group interventions daily using Interpersonal approach to coping with mental illness .
• Provided recommendations to the organization by documenting client’s responses daily, offering education to
clients on resources out in the community, administered patients medications daily, supportively confronted
clients on their diagnoses, gave clients a mental status exam post discharge from the facility.

client’s Case Managers to help find patient’s housing. Offered pamphlets concerning Alcoholic Anonymous
meetings, Narcotic Anonymous meetings, Peer Groups, Client’s Rights, and where clients could go to receive
help regarding SSI and SSDI claims.
West Virginia State University – Disability Services Worker from Aug 2004- Dec 2007
• Worked as a college student under Disability Service Counselors on campus at Collegiate Support and
Counseling Center.
• Provided necessary accommodations to students with disabilities, typing handwritten letters for the Disability
Service Counselors, recorded textbooks on tape for blind students, delivered assignments on behalf of the
counselors to and from professors on campus. Escorted student’s to class and performed note-taking for
students with disabilities, and proctored test in a room where I read aloud tests for students in a relaxed
setting.

• Observed practices of a Disability Service Counselor.

Land Grant Program For At- Risk Youth: Campus of WVSU 2005
• Residential Advisor for At-Risk Youth for two semesters while attending school as a full time student.
• Conducted house meetings, regulated bathroom duties, organized chore lists, prepared meals, and went over
daily homework assignments.
• Provided full time assistance to the Supervisor, and coordinated room expectations and policies and

o Created an aggressive new student marketing plan to give students the opportunity to learn about
