. Planned thermoforming processes for new markets to develop a business

strategy when facility moved to Greenwood, SC, while mapping out new shop

floor for all transferred machines

. Successfully upgraded existing thermoforming machines to meet Velux

. Orchestrated the complete relocation of the Long Island business to

Greenwood with a minimum of down time to keep the supply chain moving for

the new business

. Successfully started up the new Greenwood thermoforming lines and managed

Senior Manufacturing Engineer - Velterm (Glass Plant) (1995 - 2004)

. Major emphasis on replacing old German glass lines with newest high speed

technology to be managed by a smaller workforce - could produce four

times the units with 1/3 less crew

. Focused on replacing one line at a time with minimum disruption to supply

chain and utilizing in the best manner, valued warehouse and production

space

. Major project was designing and implementing an Argon filling system to

replace the historically manual operation

. Designed and implemented an overhead conveyor system to accumulate and

transport small aluminum parts for the fabrication of the insulated glass

units.

. Major project was replacing manual glass handling stations with pick and

place robots. These were Allen-Bradley PLC based systems that eliminated

ergonomic headaches

. Major project was installing new deep water well to meet daily demands of

glass production, and also to replace high maintenance of filtering CPW

water - payback being seven months

. Successfully found a small machine builder in NC to build semi-automatic

drilling machines to meet the increasing demands of new and improved wood

products

. Successfully initiated first wood router into Velux inventory of machines

bit inventories that were being created with the redesign of existing

automated machines used in producing flexible tubes, budgeted from
