Professional Summary
I earned a Masters Degree in Science and a Bachelors Degree in Arts both in Physics
s tudying lasers and optics. I spent two years working in the semiconductor industry in the
f ield of wafer inspection that combined a DUV laser source with a high–performance die
comparison algorithm. Part of the job requirement was instructing customers and
technicians on the metrology tool along with the development of instructional materials and
optical table set-up. I have also worked as a Technical Instructor in Technical and
Community Colleges in Physics, Mathematics, Renewable Energy, Electronics and Fiber
Optics that has given me hands on experienced in research and development of scientific
l aboratory curriculum in the area of optics and physics.
M y combined experience in optics and light theory, electronics (along with some
p hotovoltaics), mathematics and physics has given me a broad scientific background. My
years of instruction have developed my theoretical knowledge of physics along with my
ability to communicate complex physics theory to a diverse audience. My curriculum
development has developed my wri t ten and verbal communication skills that are required
w hen instructing individuals on complicated equipment. I have developed independently all
t he physics teaching laboratories and a course in Renewable Energy Technology at
Columbia Gorge Community College. I developed the cur riculum in fiber optics at M t Hood
Community College. My best skill is the ability to comfortably explain complex topics to an
u nfriendly audience.
