Oct-13 –Current salaried position of Director of safety and compliance

Responsibilities include managing the safety department staffed with10 employees

as well as a fleet of 500 trucks and drivers to ensure customer, DOT, FMCSA and

all other regulatory compliance requirements are met; Maintain all drivers and

truck expirations, D&A program and required recordkeeping files; Oversee the

entire new hire orientation process as well as any training as directed by regulation

and or company policy; Review and audit all driver logs for compliance;

Implement, track and perform driver progressive discipline program for any safety

or regulatory issues. Review and approve all accident or incident investigations

performed by safety supervision personnel; Direct planning, design, development,

organization, communication of all safety functions and background investigation

of employees; Improve CSA scores by implementing new programs, policy

change, and employee buy in; Oversight of computer systems as they relate to

documenting Safety business processes, system configuration, security and

maintenance; Provide training and coaching to safety department and management

to achieve department goals in support of strategic corporate objectives, regulatory

Performance management and coaching of direct and indirect corporate reports;

Georgia Pacific {CDI} *Contractor Safety*

April 13- Oct 13 Current hourly contracted position of Contractor Safety

Specialist.

*Job scope includes evaluating the safety performance and programs of all

contractors performing work at the Georgia Pacific Port Hudson site by reviewing

ISNETworld grading and training requirements as well as work in progress

evaluations; To serve as the liaison between GP Supervision, Purchasing and

Safety Departments to all site contractors; To help contractors with safety direction

and improved performance to reduce overall risk resulting in a better, safer

contractor by developing relationships and performing oversight through the use of

performance evaluations and frequent job visits; Establishing and maintaining

contractor safety meetings for supervision and safety representatives quarterly and

with individual contractors weekly; Managing required contractor documentation

for PSM covered work; Assist with MOC, and PSM safe work procedures and

implementation.

TOPCOR Construction* Baton Rouge, La* Industrial General Contractor,

specializing in Mechanical, Structural, Civil projects, as well as new construction.

Nov. 12-April 13 Salaried position of TOPCOR Construction Safety Manager,

responsible for the entire safety program for the construction division.

*Job scope includes maintaining, updating, and implementing TOPCOR safety

policy and procedures; Perform pre job JSA/ Hazard assessments and Site Safety

plans per customer based on specific task or job descriptions; Insure that

TOPCOR employees maintain up to date training as per OSHA, craft, or customers

requirement; Lead all accident investigations, including root cause analysis; Visit

job sites to insure company and regulatory compliance and customer policy and

procedures are being followed.

TransMontaigne Group * Denver, CO * Distribution and storage of refined fuels.

2003- Nov. 2012 salaried position of Senior Regional Safety Manager, responsible

for training, compliance and audits related to all safety programs at fourteen

company sites covering a seven-state area.

* Job scope includes managing updates and enforcing all applicable policy,

procedures and safety regulations, including but not limited to those issued by

OSHA, DOT, U.S. Coast Guard, and NFPA.

* Responsible for all company-required OSHA training for Hazwoper, Confined

Spaces, LOTO and Hazcom as well as all other safety training requirements such

as HM 126 etc.; accident investigations, including root cause analysis; Internal

safety/compliance audits; Risk Assessments; JSAs; MTSA Coast Guard Security

compliance; and insuring that contractors and employees are trained /competent

and work safely within regulatory compliance and Transmontaigne procedures.

* Other duties include overseeing operations with DOT-associated tasks,

including but not limited to pipeline maintenance, ILI and cleaning pigs and DOT

required excavation and trenching. Provide Emergency Response training, along

with coordinating with management to meet OPA 90 and SPCC required drills and

exercises.

2003-2005: Operator at barge loading facility in Baton Rouge, LA.

Responsibilities included loading and unloading of refined fuels onto and off of

barges, utilizing high-tech, computer-operated facilities (SCADA). Also

responsible for equipment maintenance on AOVs, MOVs, VCU, pumps, and other

equipment associated with pipeline and refined fuels loading.
