Accountabilities:

. Ensuring 99% availability of the network and introducing Signaling

Transfer Point in the Maharashtra circle to share signaling traffic with

other circles.

. Analysis and resolution of voice and data connectivity issues for

national and international roamers.

. Operations and maintenance of Preferred Roaming Server, Caller Ring Back

Tone Server, Welcome Server, SMSC server and MRO-TEK DXC (digital cross

connect).

Achievements:

. Planned, installed and commissioned Signaling Transfer Point for

Maharashtra circle in coordination with engineers and VAS managers from

all the circles.

. Resolved "Welcome Message not received" issue for in-roamers and out-

roamers by analyzing SS7 messages between MSC and server, verifying

information at Home / Visitor Location Register in coordination with

engineers from Roamware and Nokia Siemens Network.

. Ensuring switch availability of 99% all the time.

. Installation and commissioning, operation and maintenance of Lucent 5ESS

2000 CDMA switch.

. Improving the busy hour performance and trending the improvement of ASR

(Answered Success Rate) and trunk utilization aiding to network

optimization.

. Designing of call routing database in a complex and diverse network

consisting of 7 CDMA MSCs, 3 CDMA GMSCs and 2 wire line switches.

. Preparing scripts to query database and various RCV (Recent Change and

Verify) forms in UNIX shell on Sun Solaris.

. Troubleshooting of call failure by analyzing 'cause codes' in the SS7

messages.

. Defining of virtual paths in PSAX (ATM switch) to support CDMA hand offs.

. Operations and maintenance of Next Generation Network UTStarcom MM2000

Wireless Soft Switch.

. Analyzing SS7 message transformation (TDM to IP), MGCP, SIP and SIGTRAN

messages and VSAT connectivity for the remote cell sites for the

. Enterprise Network - 'VoIP Service Analysis using OPNET model'.

Description: Network traffic, link utilization, routing techniques were

analyzed for the given network & voice and data quality was improved

after altering these elements.

. Simulation of M/M/1 queue.

Description: Poisson arrival and exponential service time were assumed

and the graph for queue size, mean delay through the system was plotted

against time in Matlab.

. Simulation of wireless channels.

Description: Rayleigh and Rician wireless channels characteristics were

simulated in Matlab.

. TCP performance improvement based on 'Packet Loss Identification'.

Description: It's possible to improve the TCP performance by analyzing

the cause of packet loss. TCP Vegas and TCP Reno were simulated in NS2

and algorithm was implemented in Matlab.

Extra-curricular Activities:

Participated and won the first prize at International Week, Soccer

Tournament in George Mason University for the year 2010.
