ENI Agip KCO Bautino Marine Support Base (Republic of Kazakhstan)

Duties:

Advised on diverse safety issues to Agip KCO Operations line departments

Interfaced with relevant authorities (Marine Inspection, Fire Department, Labour Department) on

HSE matters.

Undertook safety inspections of offices, accommodations, hotels, warehouses and work sites.

Inspected permit to work operations (confined space, work at height, LO/TO, diving operations,

radiation hazards etc.)

Supervised safe work during crane loading.

Participated in incident investigations and assisted the Incident Management. Acted as a Safety

Advisor during meeting of Emergency Response Headquarters. Acted as a competent responder

in the event of oil spills both on shore and offshore.

Reviewed and commented on Contractor supplied HSE related documentation, such as HSE

Plans, Permit to Work Systems, Risk Assessments etc.

Assisted Safety Administrator in the maintenance of the Incident “Promasys” database

Wagenborg Kazakhstan operates in the Caspian Sea with a fleet of two icebreakers, four tugs, six flattop

barges, three ice classed barges, one multicat, one stan tug and it carries out the operational

management of two accommodation units.

Duties:

• Liaised with relevant authorities e.g. State Dept. for Labor Protection (Kazakh Labor Ministry); Fire

Department; Sanitation Department; Russian Maritime Register of Shipping etc;

• Acted as Responsible for radiation safety (radiation monitoring and issuing reports)

• Investigated accidents and incidents;

• Conducted safety inspections, wrote Safety Improvement reports, compiled and reported safety

statistics.

• Conducted hygiene inspections;

• Provided all relevant translations Russian English when required, etc.

2002 2003

Position: Safety Officer in the Health, Safety and Environmental Department

Bechtel Enka JV (Agip KCO Onshore/Offshore Civil Work), Bautino, Mangistau

Oblast, Kazakhstan.

US Bechtel and Turkish Enca established a joint venture in November 2000, as an entirely

Kazakhstan based limited liability partnership, subject to Kazakh legislation and regulations. The

project involved operation and maintenance services in Petroleum Refinery, Second Generation

Plant and Sour Gas Injection Plant. The Project achieved 4,700,000 man hours without a lost

time incident.

Duties:

Liaised with relevant authorities e.g. State Department for Labor Protection and Social Security

Kazakh Labor Ministry; Fire Department;

Assisted to introduce relevant Kazakh safety regulations;

Took part in investigation of accidents and incidents;

Conducted daily safety inspections, wrote reports and recommendations;

Conducted hygiene inspections;

Provided all relevant translations and interpretations of the Kazakh Safety Regulations etc.

1999 2002

Position: Safety Officer in the Health, Environmental and Safety Department

Texaco North Buzachi Inc oil field, Mangistau Oblast, Kazakhstan.

Texaco was an operator of a huge oilfield in south west Kazakhstan. Texaco operated the field till 2003.

Duties:

Liaised with relevant authorities of the Republic of Kazakhstan e.g. Technical and mining authority, State

Department for Labor Protection (Labor Ministry), Fire Department;

Assisted to introduce relevant Kazakh safety regulations in the field to keep and handle all the

relevant documentation;

Conducted daily safety inspections; Provided all relevant translations and interpretations of the

Kazakh Safety Regulations etc.

Translated all health and safety documentation for oil field management.
