B.S., Earth Sciences, University of Asmara, 2001
Relevant Experience
A geologist /Hydrogeologist with more than 5 years of private and government experience, encompassing
technical, task management level environmental, hydrogeologic and geologic consulting. Expertise in
environmental and hydrogeologic investigation, multimedia sampling, groundwater monitoring,
groundwater modeling and contaminant transport, soil and groundwater remediation, feasibility studies,
corrective action plans.
Currently working as a Hydrogeologist with CH2M HILL on various industrial sites, since
2006.
* Managed multiple tasks for various environmental and remedial investigation projects, successfully
completing projects on schedule and budget. Prepared proposals, work plans, field standard operating
procedures and investigative reports.
* Led multiple site investigation field activities including monitoring well drilling and installation,
groundwater and soil sampling and vapor intrusion investigations.
* Completed high profile groundwater modeling projects in support of water supply and aquifer
remediation projects. Provided groundwater modeling technical support to a high profile litigation project.
* Successfully implemented project health and safety policies resulting with zero health and safety
incident.
Worked with Kansas Department of Health and Environment from 2005 2006 as a
geologist/groundwater modeler on assigned projects in the investigative unit where ongoing
investigation and cleanup is occurring.
* Evaluated investigative, monitoring, and general remedial progress. Interacted with consultants and the
public to review, present and negotiate all aspects of project management
* Conducted analysis and interpretation of geologic and other technical data to identify and develop
solutions to project specific environmental problems
