May 2006 - May 2010: Primary HAZMAT Chemistry Instructor for the Civil
Support Skill Course (CSSC) at Incident Response Training Department
(IRTD), GS-1712-11-3 at Fort Leonard Wood Missouri. Obtained a graduation
rate of 99+%.
- Primary Instructor the CSSC Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) Chemistry Course
and field survey equipment detection courses: Haz Mat ID, Arhura,
MulitiRae, AreaRea, ICAM, Color metrics: Drager tubes, pH, oxidizer, & pH
paper.
-Primary lead on developing new HAZMAT and CBRNE agent scenarios used at
IRTD, using known principles on how the detection equipment works, several
false positive agents were used for the students to detect.
- Developed, revised and implemented the new CSSC 2008 chemistry lesson
plan form the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Chemistry Course
to a more applied chemistry course. Included into each new lesson plan was
expanded into detailing with the hazard classification of each chemical
family, chemical/hazard detection of chemicals. Plus, establishing an
understanding of using both common and systematic naming convention was
explained. Three new chapters were added, a Biological, and Radiological
Agents, plus along with CBRNE Laboratories were discuss.
- Assistant Instructor for Self Contain Breathing Apparatus / SCBA, Closed
Circuit Breathing Apparatus/ CCBA, Hapsite Mass Spec and Sampling, IFASC
HAZMAT Operations and IFASC HAZMAT TECH practical exercises.
-Served as a Hazardous Material Responder for Fort Leonard Wood.
-Served as a member of IRTD's Incident Response Task Force.
July 99-May 2006: On-Scene Coordinator for the Environmental Emergency
Response Section, Environmental Service Program, Missouri Department of
Natural Resources (DNR), Kansas City Region.
