o Taylor -Couette Flow Apparatus (Jan 2011 – present)

Building of experimental setup to study the effect of TC flow on protein aggregation.

Studied the effect of TC flow on the aggregation using Dynamic Light Scattering apparatus.

Responsible for designing a cost effective setup and procedure.

o Oxidizer Pump Turbine Design (Fall 2010)

Designed a turbine for given inlet, outlet conditions and required power, RPM.

Used Matlab for coding to get the preliminary design.

CFD analysis of the preliminary design using Star CCM.

The results from the CFD using star CCM was analyzed and necessary changes were made to

the initial assumptions.

The analysis was carried out till an optimum design was reached.

o Analysis of the solidification of lathe bed during casting (Dec 2008)

The flow of the molten material through the mould and the solidification pattern of lathe bed

casting by studying the temperature profile within the mold using Solid Cast and Ansys.

o Wear Characteristics of Composites (2007-2009)

Design of experiment for analysis of the effect of load, composition and RPM on wear of

composites.

Computed the effect of load on wear using Ansys.

Analysis of the experimental data and comparison with computational data.
