Online Billing Solution Architect

Taken a leading role in the project life cycle in developing a new billing platform converting the legacy

system into SAP based back end application with a Java front end and middleware layers. This project has

helped Farmers in several millions by bringing better customer experience as a result of building a very stable

application platform. Following are the components and my deliverables:

SAP Farmers Billing system:

This is the billing system that provides Business partner, Contract account, Insurance object which in turn

helps to provide many interactive and batch oriented processes that helps farmers to bill a customer and

performs different activities starting from new business to cancellation or renewal of policies. Starting from

setting up a new business to providing statements, renewals, cancellations and more functionality, this back

end system is the backbone of the Farmers Billing platform.

Involved in implementing the Zachman Architectural Framework in farmers

Provided architectural diagrams, landscape diagrams and road map diagrams

Involved in working with SOA team to integrate SAP function modules for Web services

Setup functional/clarification team discussion between on-shore and off-shore teams

Allianz Global Risks US Burbank, CA Sept 2002 - Jan 2008

Development Lead/Senior Software Engineer

Integration of Salesforce.com with Underwriting System using IBM Cast IRON

Salesforce.com is the front end interface being used in Allianz Global Risks to make initial submission of

policy applications by the underwriters. After the submission, the data will be synched to the client server

based application called Aplus almost real time. Hence the data transfer takes place between the web

application and the database in Sybase using IBM Cast IRON. Following are the tasks handled:

Orchestrate integration process between Salesforce.com and the Client Server application

Setup the orchestration with a sequence of processes within IBM Cast IRON server

Trouble shoot, monitor and maintain the IBM CAST IRON box

Make sure that Real time Data Synchronization happens uninterrupted.

Aplus (Allianz Property Liability Underwriting System):

This is a Client/Server based underwriting processing system covering the Property and Casualty business.

This application is very robust entry system enabling the processing and booking of policies. It has an

extensive form processing and very user friendly reporting system. Following are the deliverables.
