I am writing in regards to the Nurse Practitioner job posting from

SimplyHired.com. As a recent graduate of Belmont University's Family Nurse

Practitioner program, I currently have eight years of hospital experience.

I have served in several roles while in the hospital setting including

charge nurse and preceptor in the surgical intensive care unit, and rapid

response nurse for an 885-bed teaching hospital.

Working in the hospital setting has allowed me the opportunity to both

address and assist with a wide range of illnesses such as pneumonia and

sepsis in the adult and geriatric patient. I am able to work both

independently and with other healthcare professionals to provide the best

care for the patient and families. These experiences have taught me how to

address patients and discuss their concerns as well as managing their

frustrations in a respectful manner. What I most excited about in my new

role as a clinician is working in collaborations with other health

professionals, patients, and families to address and manage complex health

issues among the community.
