EXPERIENCE
Mechanical Engineer: Royal Products, Hauppauge, New York 2010-2012
Responsible for the design/manufacturing of machine shop equipment and tools such as chucks, special live/dead centers
and collets utilized in holding parts or cutting tools in lathes, milling and drilling machines during manufacturing
processes. Designed with AutoCad/Inventor platforms. Responsible for technical support as an application engineer.
Engineer: Muller Martini Corporation, Hauppauge, New York 2005-2010
Responsible for the generation of drawings for equipment lines such as presses, saddle stitchers, book binders and
palletizers for customers in the printing industry. Made changes to equipment and drawings to satisfy customers needs not
fulfilled by the standard equipment. Retrofitted equipment inside customer’s plants by carefully inspecting sites and
gathering measurements. Specified equipment while generating quotes for my proposal drawings in a product and project
engineering role. Machine design and drafting carried out with AutoCad/Inventor, Rplan and ProE.
Architect: Sleepy’s, Bethpage, New York 2004-2005
Responsible for the generation of drawings for the new and existing Sleepy’s stores utilizing and AutoCad 2005 platform.
I created drawings of general arrangement to construction details under the guidance of a register architect to obtain
permits for new and existing store construction. The drawings were also used to provide contractors with information they
needed for quotations. Finally responsible for assisting the project managers with store construction and modifications.
Senior Design Engineer: Entenmann’s, Bay Shore, New York 1990-2004
Responsible for designing equipment (conveyors, cold tunnels, extruders, depositors, etc.) utilized in the baking industry
to manufacture and package donuts, cookies, bread and cake. I possess excellent drafting skills from preliminary design
layout to detail drawings combined with the ability to use AutoCad release 11, 12, 14, 00, 04 (15,000 hrs). In addition, I
have the knowledge of good mechanical design criteria through the use of standard off the shelf components such as
sprockets, drive chains, motors, gears, fasteners, etc. Also responsible for supporting the project engineering staff in
developing feasible equipment layouts, in order to improve their existing manufacturing processes of baking goods.
Application Engineer: Techno Inc., New Hyde Park, New York 1989-1990
My duties were diversified. I worked in the generation of assembly drawings while building the Mac-100 electronic
controller for Techno’s CNC machine. I was involved in several small projects through design and development. One
project incorporated a timing belt pulley drive to Techno’s CNC machine, in order to increase the feedrate of each axis.
Another project entailed the optimization of Techno’s engraving machine and the assembly of ten units per customer
request. Other duties included finding new applications for Techno’s CNC machine through the use of MasterCam (150
hrs). All mechanical design and drafting was carried out with manual sketching and AutoCad release 10 (1,000 hrs).
Machine Operator: Dorn & Margolin Inc., Bohemia, New York 1986-1989
Responsible for the operation of drill presses, lathe and milling machines used in the production of aircraft antennas. This
job provided good understanding of manufacturing processes such as drilling, tapping, deburring, turning and machining.
