exposure to law enforcement sensitive information, and minimization of
telephone traffic (Title III [18 U.S.C. 2518(5 Linguists are
required to provide simultaneous interpretation and synopsis of
intercepted information, translation from Arabic to English, and
transcription of Arabic audio intercept into both English and Arabic
(i.e. fluent Arabic typing skills are required).

Served in the Combined Media Processing Center (CMPC) - Baghdad (Iraq
Survey Group) in support of National Intelligence from November, 2003
to January, 2004 as part of an elite team of linguists charged with
the translation and interpretation of classified and sensitive
information. This position required me to obtain a Secret clearance
with a CI polygraph upon hiring and focused on the exploitation of
critical documents recovered in Iraq. Summary of skills developed:
- Processed an average of 100 pages a day for exploitation
- Invariably accurate translation
- Translated technical documents dealing with hard sciences
- Conducted simultaneous interpretation on former Iraqi government
leadership
- Selected to be part of General Dayton's Quick Reaction Team
- Awarded a letter of recommendation citing abilities as being in
the "top ten percent" of linguists by the Chief of the CMPC

Served in the CMPC - Qatar (Iraq Survey Group) in support of National
Intelligence from October, 2003 to November, 2003 as part of a
translation team of linguists charged with document exploitation and

Served as an interpreter for the Immigration and Naturalization
Service and performed both consecutive and simultaneous interpretation
during courtroom deportation hearings. This position demanded a
thorough knowledge of legal terminology as it applies to immigration
and required the linguist to be tested and certified in the target
language (Arabic). Multiple hearings were conducted in the same day
in a fast-paced environment with little or no tolerance for
inaccuracy.
