|Norfolk Southern Corporation (NSC) is a Norfolk, Virginia based company. The |

|primary business operation is rail freight under the subsidiary Norfolk Southern |

|Railway Company (NSR). The railway operates 21,141 route miles in 22 eastern |

|states and the District of Columbia. NSC is the holding company for 141 legal |

|entities (50 of which are inactive and 46 which are subsidiaries of NSR). The |

|objective of the project was to implement a comprehensive SAP solution that |
