I am contacting you in regards to the above referenced position. I recently graduated from

the University of Texas at Dallas with a double major BA in Accounting Information

Management and Finance and have applied to the University of Texas at Dallas graduate

program for Accounting with emphasis on Internal Audit. I intend to sit for the CPA exam

upon completion of my Master’s program and plan on obtaining my Internal Audit

Certificate as well.

In an effort to further my knowledge beyond classwork associated with achievement of my

degree, I've recently purchased QuickBooks 2011 Accountant version and Peachtree

Complete 2012 for my personal computer. I have begun self-education of these common

softwares through use of the online software communities, the help menus included with

each software and creating test company books and entries from scratch based off a scenario

given to me in one of my college courses last year. I hope to complete the basic self-

teaching of these softwares within the next several weeks.

I am very interested in this position and the experience that I could gain while putting my
