• Project Name: Informatica V9.1 upgrade & Informatica Metadata Manager
This project's initiative was to upgrade Informatica Power Center software. At the end of 2012 the version installed
will no longer be supported by Informatica. The next 2 versions of Informatica (9.1 and 9.5) do a major
architectural revamp of the software that will give better performance and reliability as well as enhances features.
Metadata Manager Application allows both IT and Business, ability to trace a data element from a report to its

TBS - Target Series is a Single Premium deferred Annuity product. This strategic initiative by Brokers
International, will build a new annuity series – The Target Benefit Annuity™ Series – that will allow the consumer
to target their retirement planning goals with products that have a 5, 10 or 15 yr surrender charge schedule and
choice of interest crediting options.
BAA - BAA is a deferred annuity product marketed by the Annexus Group and offers a Balanced Allocation
Strategy that allows the owner to choose from different crediting allocation options (interest crediting options) at
application and at the end of each of the interest crediting terms.
OPAS Releases - The project delivered any business requirements/functionalities critical to the OPAS Application

Project Name: Testing of Trizetto-Facets suite of applications

Project Description:
CareFirst has launched the HIPAA 5010 program to comply with the federal mandate of changing the data standards from 4010 to
5010. This has huge impact on various complex and critical applications of CareFirst. My work involved gathering requirements,
impact analysis, coming up with remediation and testing strategy and finally remediating the code and testing to make it compliant
with the federal mandate. Each of the applications (both internal and external) interacting with various trading partners had to be
assessed for any impact and then remediated to make them compliant with HIPAA 5010.
The HIPAA upgrade was needed for several reasons, including:
To implement some unanticipated issues and requirements version 4010 uncovered.
To accommodate the forthcoming and mandatory ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS code sets.
Phase II scope included ICD 9 to ICD10 conversion to enable far more effective data for the vital classification of morbidity and
mortality data while enabling accurate claims management and reimbursement by the insurance industry.
