10/07-06/11 GIS Analyst & Cartographer
Structural Geology International, Salt Lake City, Utah
Created and maintained spatial databases and designed professional maps for
a geologist who works as an independent consultant in the oil and gas
industry. Required to productively and independently work on a number of
simultaneous projects. Common tasks included procurement of base maps,
georeferencing raster datasets, extensive use of Editor for drafting and
data entry, utilizing geoprocessing tools and Model Builder, symbol & label
creation, importing data from Garmin GPS unit, querying, using ET Geowizard
and Global Mapper for Spatial Analyst tasks, working with a variety of file
types and projections, final map design, and troubleshooting any and all
issues with ArcMap or Global Mapper.
