genes into hematopoietic stem cells (HSC, CD34+ purified via magnetic beads

and ficoll hipaque gradients) of murine bone marrow and human cord blood

donors (xenografting of bone marrow cells into ablated mouse recipients).

Performed total body irradiation of mice to ablate bone marrow using a

cesium irradiator and performed bone marrow transplants using virally

transduced donor cells. Also ran PCR, qPCR and Southern Blot analyses on

CFU-GM colony DNA to look for the presence of the transgene, and

immunohistochemistry. Work performed supported a funded IND.
