• Directed the development and implementation of the company’s industry-leading route delivery system utilizing hand-held

computers and proprietary forecasting and scheduling software. Negotiated savings of over $150K on a new generation of

hand-held computers and wireless printers.

• Negotiated new contracts for voice communications which resulted in aggregate savings of over $500K over three years.

• Created the company’s business continuity and disaster recovery plans, and successfully recovered in remote hot-sites from two

major hurricanes with no material loss of revenue or impact on customer service.

tests, wrote policies and procedures, and performed remediation of internal control weaknesses.

• Negotiated a new contract for voice and data communications, which resulted in a projected savings of $225K over three years.

• Planned a project to upgrade the JD Edwards financial system to a Y2K compliant version (7.3.10). Identified an outside firm

to lead the project resulting in a savings of nearly $250K from the original project budget.

• Planned the upgrade of the AS/400 system from CISC to RISC and negotiated a vendor discount of over $50K.

• Aligned the department with the organization’s goals and led a dramatic turnaround in the staff‘s attitude, motivation and

Armellini Express Lines, Inc. 2/1993 to 9/1998

Lead IT executive for a $65M international floral transportation company.

Recruited and mentored a high performance, service oriented team with 15 direct reports.

• Directed the design, acquisition and implementation of Windows NT and Novell local and wide area networks serving five
