OBJECTIVE

Seeking a position that will utilize an extensive career and management experience in the areas of human resources

and operations. Human Resources and organizational development management skills were acquired from “hands-

on experience”, research and advisement, and training over the course of my career. I am willing to relocate upon

acceptance of a position.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Human Resources & Organizational Development

Experience includes developing, implementing, and managing Human Resource programs such as: personnel

policies, performance based evaluation and incentive programs, compensation structuring (grade levels) and

organizational “structuring” (or “re-structuring”.) Have both managed and performed activities in: Benefit

Administration (401(k), health and welfare programs), public relations, and employee relations (management and

staff). Other experience in HR includes: successfully managing and/or performing functions of HR including

payroll, recruitment, developing training programs, Employment / Non-compete Agreements, succession plans, etc.

Experience includes performing organizational assessments, developing Organizational Charts and Job

Descriptions with related job requirements, and performance accountabilities in order to streamline and maximize

staff performance. Advised and made recommendations for effective staffing and management, employment and

non-compete agreements, succession planning, union contracts and negotiations, etc.

Developed and trained personnel policies and management topics to senior, middle and front-line managers as well

as other employee related topics to general workforces. That training included the use of Personnel Policies

(Discrimination in Employment, Sexual Harassment, Drug-free Workplaces, Corrective Actions, etc.) and

management training topics on Effective Communications, Teambuilding, Leadership (all levels), and Customer

Service. Have lectured on and presented information to large and small management groups on topics including:

“Dealing with Difficult Employees”, “NLRB & DOL Regulations and Legal Employment Practices”, “Legal Hiring

& Terminations”, “Wrongful Discharges”, etc.

Have extensive “hands-on” knowledge of Federal and State Business & Labor Regulations. These regulations

include the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Wage and Hour, National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), Equal

Opportunity (EEOC), OSHA (1910 & 1926), etc. Knowledge extends to developing policies and procedures for

Personnel Management, Worker’s Compensation (Injury and Loss Prevention, Drug-free Workplaces, Transitional

RTW, etc.), OSHA and dealing with actionable rulings, Unemployment Insurance and Administrative Law

regarding management actions (wrongful discharges, etc.)

Safety experience includes performing safety assessments and work-site inspections as well as developing/training

OSHA compliant policies, and HSE programs in compliance with customer requirements. Full knowledge of both

CFR 1910 General Industry, and CFR 1926, Construction regulations.

Strategic Planning & Development

Conducted as a facilitator, Board of Director “level” Strategic Planning Sessions (goal setting, identifying

Initiatives, SWOT Analysis, etc.); facilitated management teams in developing “Action Plans” that meet

Board/Owner Goals and Initiatives; consulted in business strategies to meet organizational and succession goals.

Operations

Have hands-on experience in managing companies/departments and its personnel. This includes developing and

performing sales, improving processes and streamlining business operations (SOP’s), decreasing thru-put time and

improving cash flows, improving quality, controlling labor, etc. Have managed and performed production

scheduling and quality assurance (SPC, ISO & QS 9000, LEAN, etc.) for improving customer service and

profitability. Some experience includes working and complying with government contract requirements.

Finance

Experienced and competent in analyzing, performing ratio analysis, and working with income statements, balance

sheets and budgets. Performed financial analysis and made recommendations of corrective actions for improving

cash flows, owner equity, financial software, chart of accounts, return on capital, overhead cost, and developed

other analytics as needed.

WORK HISTORY

Senior Management /HR Consultant dba Regal Consulting (Independent) - Waterford, Ohio (1/2002 – 6/2013)

Provided human resources development services to a broad scope of industries and consulted and worked with over

50 Ohio companies for a period of 11 years. Performed various human resources and organizational development

(job/position) services to client companies to improve performance and accountability, and to conform to

regulations. Several clients had used these services for an ongoing and extended period. Additional services

included, but were not limited to: strategic planning facilitation, labor and safety compliant policies, training,

coaching/mentoring, etc. All client work involved working closely with senior business management and

management teams. Local target market and economy has diminished forcing the closure of the consulting practice.

Human Resources Manager – Ohio University Credit Union - Athens, Ohio (1999 – 2001)

Implemented and managed the Human Resources Department – Included staff training & development,

organizational structuring, job descriptions, recruitment, public relations, employee relations, policy development,

benefit administration, etc.

Organizational Development Specialist - Progressive Financial Group (PFG) – Marietta, Ohio (1996 – 1999)

Provided Human Resources and Organizational Development services to client firms. Internally developed and

streamlined job/position requirements, hired staff, developed policies and procedures, etc. Performed sales, made

presentations and provided business development in its growth.

Operations, Human Resources Manager- Gatewood Products, Inc. – Parkersburg, WV (/1992 – 1995)

Responsible for Operations, Human Resources, Safety and Quality Assurance. Ensured Regulatory Compliance in

Labor (DOL) & Safety (OSHA). Performed training and development, scheduling, recruiting, etc. Developed,

managed and complied with ISO 9000, LEAN, continuous improvement practices and procedures, personnel and

safety policies, etc.

Production Manager – Kreinik Manufacturing, Inc. – Parkersburg, WV – (1989 – 1992)

Performed all production management functions including: supervision, scheduling, planning, staffing, quality

assurance, cost control, inventory, purchasing, and vendor relations. While increasing production by 50%, reduced

thru-put and delivery time from 4-weeks to 3-days and labor from 60+ employees to fewer than 50 in the first year.

SOFTWARE & COMPUTER USE - Advanced Level – On-going use of: MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint,

Publisher, Outlook, and Adobe. Other company databases include various payroll & HR Programs, QuickBooks,

Peachtree and intranet software. Developed consulting website using Wordpress, YouTube, and Movie Maker.

Proficient in use of email systems (g-mail, Yahoo, Facebook, Twitter, Video Conferencing (Skype), etc.)

CONTINUOUS EDUCATION – Continue to attend various short courses, lectures and internet resources on
