solutions from Searles Lake to produce boric acid, sodium carbonate, sodium

Manager, Safety - Colstrip

PPL-M Colstrip is a 4 unit electrical generation plant with 350 employees

and the capacity of producing a total of 2094 megawatts of electricity.

Coal is transformed into electricity by burning the coal to change water to

steam which drives a turbine generator. My role is to manage the safety

program for the plant and provide assistance to the Corporate Safety team.

. Coordinated seven key elements of the OSHA VPP into the plant

safety program and directed their application resulting in

the obtainment of the coveted "VPP Star Status".

. Improved working relations with the local union, OSHA

enforcement and plant management resulting in a 100%

reduction of citations issued.

This is a state agency incorporated into a state operated college that

providing an Occupational Safety & Health Consultation program service. It

is federally funded and dedicated to providing OSHA safety program

evaluation, training and other safety assistance to small employers (less

than 250 employees).

. Expanded and promoted professional safety services for 225

North Dakota employers from reactive program into one that

is proactive.

. Revitalized the OSHA Consultation Program of the state of
