Process and Foundry Supervisor

. Performed process and foundry engineering duties for casting and

foundry cells that included data collection and statistical

analysis using SPC. Primary job duties included the development

of time/temperature models for the foundry and casting operations,

data collection and analysis for day-to-day problems inside the

shop.

. Increased the productivity and profitability of the company by

optimizing the tap temperatures for a 10 t/hr hot blast cupola, a

18 t/hr electric holding furnace and two 1.5 t/hr induction

furnaces based on the burden chemistry and pig iron content thus

enabling the use of more scrap.

. Supervised the melt shop operations and the inspection of molding,

castings.

. Worked with the Quality Engineering Department to resolve

technical issues.

Foundry Foreman 1993-1996

Managed Molding is carried out by two DISAMATIC Molding Lines with

automatic stream inoculation and induction heated pouring furnace

equipped with laser pour unit. As managed molding goes on,

periodical tests are carried out by means of various techniques

such as thermal and spectral analysis, ensuring all conditions met

highest quality standards.

. Managed 25 employees in the melting, foundry, molding and casting

departments.

. Worked on the hot blast cupola, holding and induction furnaces.

Work on material testing processes such as mechanical testing,

metallographic examination and spectral and chemical analysis spouse

to under procedure.

. Worked with quality control department sac as metallographic

sample preparations and microstructure analysis, grain size

measurement and cleanliness evaluation.
