I. SICAL IRON ORE TERMINALS LTD

Development of an Iron ore Terminal at Ennore port comprising

. Jetty Construction - Consists of pile foundations of 1300mm

diameter having the founding level of (- 43.00m

CD).

Total no of piles are 276.

Main berth is 347.5m long and 30m wide, to

handle the Cape size Vessels of 2, 50,000

DWT.

. Stockyard Construction - Stock yard is 1500m long and 40m wide on west

side & 40m Wide on east side in which yard

conveyor is constructed in between.

Stockyard is prepared by rolling &

consolidation of the layers namely,

(Bottom) First layer of 250mm thick coarse

sand

Second layer of 150mm thick fine clayey

sand

Third layer of 600micron thick LDPE sheet

Fourth layer of (2x100mm) thick murram

layer.

. Stacker Cum Reclaimer - A Pile cap cum pedestal Foundation for travel

of Stacker Cum Reclaimer machine consists of pile

foundation of 600mm diameter and (- 23.00m CD)

deep.

Pedestal is 1600m long. Total no of piles

in foundation is - 1756

. Wagon tippler House - An underground structure totally enclosed

by steel shed above ground level having two layers

one at

-5.047m CD and another one -10.021m CD.

Both layers are constructed with Raft

foundation each 1200mm thick. The

periphery wall of the WTH is with RCC of

1000mm thick. Two RCC hoppers are

constructed at the level of +1.553m CD

level for the material to be tippled from

the wagons.

. Tunnel - An RCC tunnel 1 is constructed at -10.021m

CD level from Wagon Tippler House at an

inclination of 7.4 degree for the conveyor to

take the material to another transfer point

which is in JH1 an RCC structure.

Another tunnel 2 is constructed at -7.820m

CD level at an inclination of 7.4 degree

from Junction house 1 to another transfer

point.

All the tunnel raft, walls & slabs are

600mm, 800mm respectively.

. Buildings - An office cum main control room

building has been

Constructed at an area of 1810.6sq.m

. Drainage & Settling Pond - A drainage arrangement of 3.5km is

constructed

Connecting to settling pond. Three

settling ponds have been constructed for

storage of rain water.

. Design/Drawing verification and issuing approvals for execution of

work

. Expedite the submission of drawings.

. Expediting the supply of materials from the Contractors end according

to work schedule

. Material and Manpower management from contractors end at site for the

progress of work.

. Preparing the theoretical bill of quantities for the entire scope of

work.

. Keep tracking the entire actual bill of quantities as in the records.

. Maintaining the pour cards, test reports, vendor documents etc

. Inspecting the routine test carried out at site.

. Inspecting the load tests carried out for pile foundations and for

others.

. Preparing pending list for jobs pertaining to be completed.

. Preparing snag list for jobs to be completed.

. Conducting the review meeting with the contractors for the progress of

work and for problem solving.

. Checking the measurement sheet/invoice bill of contractors for release

of payment

. Reconciliation for work done with theoretical and actual quantities

for final invoice.

. Expedite the submission of As built drawings/documents.

. Insisting for safe working environment
