SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Strategic Planning to avoid bailout. Competing with Japanese launch dates,
Ford needed to reduce their development time by one year. Ensuring
compliance with global regulations, implemented Lean processes to
standardize all processes. Aligned all brands saving one year of
development time and $1B annually.
Improved operational performance. Baxter was underperforming and rarely
meeting customer or financial goals. Created Lean metrics for work-in-
process, production, capacity planning and inventory. Reduced customer turn-
around time from 30 to 11 days, repair from 10.5 hours per device to 5.1
hours, and a 27% profit growth.
Saved operational overhead costs. ReCellular's repair costs and customer
returns were too high. Implemented Lean principles. Established cross-
functional teams to research new solutions. Reduced repair of handsets from
$27.00 to $13.00 each, and customer returns by 50%. Exceeded savings of
$2.5M in six months.
Established world-class quality. Ford wanted to increase quality by 50%
across all North American assembly plants. Applied Lean Six Sigma
methodologies, focusing on cost per unit and customer concerns. Became
"first ever" manufacturing group to improve customer issues 62%. Saved $15M
annually.
