Project Manager/CAD Designer – Extreme Log Homes & Extreme Construction– Fruita, CO 2012–Current

•Expert in all phases of residential and light commercial design, building construction, drafting and structural design.

•Project Designer- expert in structural design for all phases of construction from foundations to roofs and framing to finish.

•Designed, supervised & soley responsible for the construction of a display model log cabin in Grand Junction, CO.

•Project Manager- expert in working, coordinating and overseeing the work of all sub-contractors.

•Training- Instructed and trained all sub-contractors about the specifics of log home building.

•Customer Relations- specialized in all sales, marketing & customer relations.

•Initial customer contact via internet, phone calls or in person at the model showroom visits.

•Projects ranged from a $150,000 bathroom remodel to completely rebuilding homes from the ground up.

•Founded and grew Quail Creek Construction to the largest construction company of custom mountain homes in Colorado.

•Specialized in sales, design, and construction of “turn-key” custom homes throughout the Western United States.

•Supervised all operations from sales and marketing, bidding, design, engineering, excavations, septic systems, foundations through complete construction.

•Developed all plans and designs, and proposals from planning to completion of hundreds of projects.

•Supervised construction work and planning of 5 superintendants and 75 employees. Sold and built homes in more than 30 states.

•Settled inspection problems working with structural engineers and building inspectors.

•Designed and built model office in Grand Junction, CO and model home sales offices in Tyler, TX.

•Worked with graphic designer and commercial artist to develop a $50,000 home brochure.

•Grew sales from 6 homes a year to more than 30 per year, which was the largest growth in company history under my direction as sales manager and designer.

•Managed construction of custom residential homes, project management and scheduling, budget management.

•Initiated change in all designed plans from hand drawn to AutoCAD. Developed blocks and details on computer for CAD.

•Brought company into computer age by making materials list and construction cost breakdown onto Excel spreadsheets, and implemented sales follow up through ACT sales software.
