Job Description: As a sever and cashier I was constantly working with the customers and serving them with their meals as well as keeping them satisfied before they leave the restaurant. Also as I worked in the front it was part of my job to run the cashier and ring up customers for their meals once they were completed with their orders.

Job Description: As a nursing assistant it was my job to take care of my mother who constantly needed a 24/7 care given. I was also capable of administering her insulin shots and giving her, her dialysis. My mom had a peritoneal dialysis which is given to her every 4 hours on a 24/7 basis, it was my job to assist in giving administering her on her dialysis. I also constantly assisted her in walking, moving, and changing positions, including simple bandage and dressing changes from open wounds that were created from a disease that was calcium deposits that built itself around the body causing open flesh wounds. So I was constantly cleaning wounds and applying bandages.

Job Description: As a nursing assistant student I was given a wonderful opportunity to do my externship program at Schofield Barracks Family Practice. As a student it was also my job to act professional in inquire in the most importance of patient care. It was my HIV to take and record blood pressure, pulse, respiration, temperature, height and weight; measures and records intake and output; and gives routine care to pre and postoperative and pre and postpartum patients. This is all done within the established scope of practice, monitors intravenous fluids, obtains routine specimens for laboratory analysis and performs standard tests. I am capable in applying and removing bandages, binders, simple dressings and hot and cold packs. Assists patients in walking, moving, and changing positions and prevents obstruction, dislodgment and unnecessary movement of drainage, suction, and parenteral fluid apparatus. Positions and drapes patient, selects instruments, sets up equipment and instruments and hands instruments to physician as required. Cleans wounds and applies bandages after suturing and assists in removal of sutures, staples, and dressings.

Med- Assist School of Hawaii (April 2010-April 2011)

Student: Certified Medical Assistant

As a student at Med-Assist School of Hawaii (MASH) I was taught a lot of basic things related to the medical field. Some of those skills are the anatomy of the human body; how to help a person in need of CPR; how to assist a person in need to kill a fire; and some of the basic needs like average blood pressure and pulse for a human being. Being a student at MASH, I was one of the top students to graduate from my class and one of the only ones who were offered a job by the time I was graduating from MASH. Also I graduated with a special certificate for achieving 30 plus hours for volunteer work as well as for being the student council representative for my class.

The type of office I work in is an OBGYN office. As an employee at Natori, Teruya, Tanoue, Nakasone, Yoshino, Dao, and Diniega M.D. I enjoy learning something new every day. I assist all the different doctors at different times doing all different kinds of procedures. I have to check in my own patients by taking their weight, blood pressure, pulse, and assist them if needed to the room designated for them. I also know how to verify insurance, schedule surgeries, mammograms, and all other kinds of procedures. I tend to all my doctor’s needs. When any of the doctors does not need my assistance I am working in the front answering phone calls, taking patents vital signs or scheduling appointments and taking messages for all the doctors and their nurses. If any of the nurses are on vacation or on sick leave the office manager has me assist their doctor so the work can still be continued for the needs of the patients. I enjoy doing what I do but I'd like to explore my horizon and try out new things.
