Accomplishments
. Managed IT operations for four locations in the US and Mexico with
a staff of 8+ and a budget of over $1.5 million. Performed all
personnel management, approved all IT acquisitions, coordinated all
service provider contracts and led the technical strategic planning
for the Company.
. Coordinated the expansion of the Company's ISDN WAN with a 10 MB
fiber connection in Milwaukee and Michigan, 4.5 MB copper
connection in Tennessee and 4 MB copper in Puebla, Mexico.
. Coordinated the IT office moves of the Mexico plant twice and
Michigan Sales office twice within a 5 year time span including all
telecommunications setups, IT room construction and employee
hiring.
. Oversaw the consolidation of twenty plus individual servers into a
virtual 3 device Data Center (VMWare) with 15 TB Equallogic SAN
disk array.
. Upgraded the Company's telephone system to Avaya VoIP to utilize
internal network communications and save in foreign long distance
charges.
. Prepared the Company for an ISO 27001 IT Security audit to be
compliant with customer requirements.
. Primary Report writer using Clickbase data mining software linked
to Baan ERP (Oracle database) system.
. Using Microsoft Access/VBA/SQL/Oracle, designed a number of
business applications for various departments, including:
. Supplier Database (CRM) system which monitored supplier
performance, environmental and quality certificate effectiveness
and acted as a mass communication tool.
. Quality Audit Open Issues system that monitored open audit
issues and automatically generated reminder notices.
. Executive Daily Sales Report that was linked to the Company's
ERP system and provided daily progress of sales against budget
and forecast.

Managed the IT Department of a leading commercial decorative lighting
manufacturer and developed and maintained a number of business systems

entered, would cycle through the manufacturing BOM levels and
identify the associated components and their final product

. Using Microsoft Access /VBA/PostgreSQL, designed a number of stand-
alone application tools for various departments, including:
. Return Goods Authorization system, which was used by the
Customer Service Department, the Receiving Department, and the
Accounting Department.
. Routing System, which calculated setup and run times in
manufacturing fixtures during each step of the process. These
timings could be "Hot Sync'd" into the companies ERP system.
. Engineering Change Notice (ECN) system.

. Using data mining software called Cyberquery, designed a number of
audits and departmental reports using data from MFG Pro/QAD.
