components (Hydraulics) and Cooling systems for all Tier4 Engines [All

platforms of CAT machines & Industrial applications]

. Leading design of Hydraulic Components like Hose & Couplings,Tubes

and Pipes, Valves, Seals, Flanges and Cooling components (Water

Jacket, Aftercooler and Oil Cooler) using SolidWorks and Pro/e tools

. Detailing and validating engineering drawings without errors and

releasing them in the Cat database

. Coordinating with the client and team leads to discuss the product

specifications

. Working on design certification of technical data of all the

hydraulics and engine cooling components

. Reviewing and maintaining technical papers of all the engineering work

Key Cost saving Projects:

. Commonised OCV Oil Lines across all the C9 Engine applications due to

the change of the Open Crankcase ventilation filter as part of the

cost reduction project to resolve a field CPI issue (saved $50k on

supplier tooling costs)

. Resolved cavitation issue on the cylinder walls of a Water Jacket on

a hydraulic excavator engine by proposing to add a additive package to

the coolant and redesigning the water tank by adding a air storage

passageway above (saved around $100k on warranty)

. Designed protective shields/ conduits on all the oil lines tubes to

avoid the oil boiling and leakage issue near the intake manifold (hot

side of the Engine): field failure issue, benefited the company

around $50k in the long run
