SKILL SET: My skills include the overall management of a small

destination resort/motel for three years, and over 20 years prior to that

as an executive assistant. I have outside sales (print) experience and

have worked in high profile positions including executive assistant to the

senior vice president of the Miami Herald. I can be professional, and yet

am easy-going. I can supervise, and I can be the worker bee. I'm a team

player, with no emotional baggage and no ego issues. I'm confident, mature

and self motivated.

July 2011-current: GREAT HERON INN, Indian Rocks Beach - Working part-

time as a front desk agent for a small beachfront motel in Indian Rocks

Beach.

Aug 2008 - July 2011 Motel Manager - BRIDGEWATER INN, Matlacha, FL

Along with my husband, managed a destination motel/resort on the water west

of Ft. Myers. Although small (10 rooms) we booked 180 to 230 room-nights

monthly, with an average 2-night stay. Handled sales, reservations,

customer service, enforcing rules, managed a small housekeeping staff,

inspected rooms and coordinated maintenance efforts. I was able to

manipulate rates in our reservation system as necessary, based on our

occupancy and the general economy. Also do housekeeping, laundry. Also

involved meetings with local community leaders, the Chamber of Commerce,

and keeping abreast of local events.

2000-2008 Owner, Kennedy Tree Service, Inc. Handling marketing,

designing brochures and business cards, doing sales and estimates for very

successful and professional tree care company.

1998 - 2000: Office Manager, Westenberger Tree Service, Clearwater, FL

All customer service calls, typing proposals, handling payments, collecting

payments.

1996-1998: GUSTO MARKETING Miami, FL West Palm Beach Fl and Tampa Fl

This was a company formed by the CFO of the Miami Herald to provide a

subscription reward program to newspaper subscribers. I left the Miami

Herald to assist in this start-up company. I initially found office space,

set it up, hired staff, purchased equipment. As the company was formed and

grew, I held positions from sales assistant to customer service manager,

contracts manager, and eventually went into outside sales. The outside

sales required that I cold call restaurant owners and sign them to

advertising contracts in the newspaper and then manage the advertising

account.

1993-1995: MIAMI HERALD, Executive Assistant to the Sr. Vice

President/CFO

All executive secretarial duties including managing calendar, booking

appointments, composing letters, filing and organizing. Was also in charge

daily of the Miami Herald bank account, determining inflow and outflow of

account and transferring nightly to Knight Ridder for investment purposes.

1983-1993 - BLACKWELL LAND COMPANY, Bakersfield, California - Executive

Assistant

Executive assistant to senior management of 26,000 acre farm. Heavy

accounting/spreadsheet, composing correspondence.
