PROJECTS

Project Management, Assisted with the acquisition of a new facility located in TN. Duties included

meeting and working with the previous owners to ensure a smooth transaction. Worked with previous

engineers to understand and reconfigure process layout.

Project Management, Designed and Oversaw plant extension project. Worked with vendors on build and

weld processes. Worked with local governments on permitting and zoning restrictions. Coordinated with

OSHA consultants on safety and rules and regulations. Oversaw project from design to completion.

Project cost .5 Million.

4M (Man, Machine, Method, Material) – Led a team of managers and engineers to review the painting

process at NABI. Project consisted of reviewing current process and implementing 4M. Project results

include increased efficiency from 22% to 55% with a goal of 85%. Overtime reduced from 23% to 13%.

Project spanned was 4 weeks.

Senior Project - led a team of students at a local manufacturing plant. Team's accomplishments included

value Stream mapping of the current process and creating a value stream map of a lean manufacturing

process. Then the plant layout was changed to accommodate the new value stream map. The procedure

included obtaining a blue print of the current manufacturing facility. Then the blueprint was put into Auto

Cad so the students could get an overview of the facility. By using JIT techniques the layout was changed

to increase production.

Special Problem - Conducted a study of Ergonomics and its effects on humans. Study included

researching the effects of humans such as light, weather, elements, and job design. Purpose of the study

was so it could be used for the Lean Enterprise for the gulf coast campus.

Special Problem - created a web page for the Industrial Engineering department-using HTML

EXPERIENCE

October 2011 – Present, PLANT ENGINEER, Gold Coast Commodities Brandon, MS

Manage all H.R. functions. Employees reviews, discipline hiring, and termination. Lead and

enforce the company’s safety policy and provide training to employees. Coordinate all vendor

support for in plant operations. Provide all Engineering support for the company. This includes

new construction, layout and working with various professionals in the chemical community.

April 2010– October 2011, PROCESS ENGINEER, Milwaukee Electric Tool Company,

Greenwood, MS

Position required me to manage and provide engineer support for a cell of 30 employees. I

performed management, employee reviews, introduced new processes and machines, and

provided engineering support within the cell. Worked in two different areas sawzall blade

production line; also sawzall and holesaw paint and package line

Jan 2009- PRESENT, SR. MANUFACTURING ENGINEER, (NABI) North American Bus Industries,

Anniston Al

Duties include answering ECN’s Engineering change notices, supporting line personal with engineering

issues, interpreting drawings, designing production aids using auto cad. Work with Design Engineering

department to correct design issues on line. Lead 4M improvement projects.

FEB 2008- Dec 2009, SR. MANUFACTURING ENGINEER, Northrop Grumman Corporation,

Duties include simulation using 3D models. Building Ship compartments in 3D to better plan and

scheduled work. Using TCM (Team Center Manufacturing) to create models and flow to planning.

SEPT 2007- FEB 2008, INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER II, Northrop Grumman Corporation, Pascagoula MS

Duties include monitoring budget for coast guard and naval ships. Conduct time studies and compare data

with standards to ensure operations are adequately budgeted. Work with ship foremen, progress

coordinators, Industrial engineering department, and section leads to correct any budget issues.

MAY 2006- Sept 2007, MANUFACTURING ENGINEER I, Raytheon, Forest MS

Duties include interpreting engineering drawings to ensure products meet specification by comparing

drawing, hardware, and mil-specs against one another. Creating and modifying shop floor routers.

Develop work procedures for production personnel. Troubleshooting and fixing any production problems

that arise on the shop floor.

JULY 2004-2006, PRODUCTION CONTROL SPECIALIST, Raytheon, Forest MS

Duties include monitoring parts movement, keeping parts up to date with MRP. Assisting the production

floor with any problems or part shortages they may have. Working closely with Engineers, Project,

Quality, Manufacturing and Software, to fix engineering problems that parts may have. Conduct meetings

with Managers and Engineers to decide which direction to take on repairing parts, to ensure material

meets MRP.

2001-2003 MANAGEMENT, Gold Coast Commodities, Brandon MS

Position was part-time management. Duties included assigning work and evaluating co-workers

performance. Supervised 10 fulltime employees. Position also required that objectives of the days

activities were met.
