"Design of 63 KVA 11 KV/440 V, Distribution Transformer"

Team Size: 60 members ; Role: core Designing, Duration: 3 months

Synopsis: The project aimed at designing a three phase transformer. Its

performance was evaluated by comparing results. Testing was done to calculate

load loss, copper loss and impedance etc. Several aspects of design are used

such as core design, window design, yoke design, tank and efficiency test.

The design was helped by OEU, Jagatpur, Odisha.

"Speed Control of AC Series Motor using Triac"

Tools used:triac,NE555 timer,fan

Team Size: 5 ; Role:operation and control of triac, Duration: 1 month

Synopsis: This project was aimed at controlling the speeds of an ac series

motor by changing the firing angle of triac.Simultaneously the resistances of

the speed regulator was adjusted by suitable frequency adjustment by NE555.
