Department Management

. Develop and implement personnel policies and procedures.

. Provide counseling and support to Directors, Line Managers and

and procedures.

. Coach line management on employee relations and performance issues

ranging from corrective action to termination.

. Conduct investigations and interviews with staff, bringing issues to a

resolution..

Recruiting Management

. Work with managers to update or write job descriptions, in order to

recruit the most qualified candidates.

. Manages recruitment effort for entire organization, oversee selection

process and manages the new hire process to ensure consistency and

college boards, to enhance the marketability of the open position.

. Conduct new hire orientation for organization to help the acclimation

process, to ensure new employees are comfortable with the

organizational culture.

Project Management

. Analyze policy processes and procedures, doing a side-by-side

comparison. Assess best practice and implement the most efficient

process for the organization.

. Create and perform system testing for system upgrades. Document

results from systems testing and communicate to IT and Management, to

ensure a successful conversion. Created User documents to help

decrease learning curve and to promote confidence and accuracy in user

ability.

. Recommend compensation standard changes, by demonstrating industry

trends while keeping in mind of the bottom line. Consult with

management team to ensure processes are competitive and fair across

the board.

Administration and Compliance

. Manage process in regard to timely submission and accurate response to

the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services for all unemployment

claims, appeals, and hearings, while monitoring charges.

. Manage administration of the employee benefit program, through open

enrollment and provider and product selection. Oversee proper on-

and off-roll process is completed timely and accurately to ensure

proper payroll deductions.

. Manage administration of Workers' Compensation program including claim

management and file maintenance, attending hearings and appeal

proceedings. Attend annual Safety Congress to stay abreast with

workforce safety in order to decrease the number of claims and cost to

the organization.

. Ensure compliance with employment law including EEO, ADA, FMLA and

FLSA; makes recommendations for revisions to procedures based on the

law, policy and practices.

. Manage the human resource information system database and generate

reports necessary for critical analysis of the HR function and the

people resources of the organization.
