BMC Remedy

I have also attended training sessions related to the BMC Remedy suite of tools,

including fundamentals and administration. Our roles ranged from planning to

customization to implementation. We would often get a request from a client

for a change, mostly to streamline an existing process. We work with the client

to define to scope, do the development, have the user perform a User

acceptance test (UAT), have customer review any support documents and if

everything checked out then it was rolled the out to production

Incident Management Team

When we had substantial hardware, software, facilities or any other significant

incident I was one of the 4 incident coordinators who would be notified. The

Incident Manager would make a quick assessment to determine if we needed to

convene an Incident meeting. If the events warranted and an IMT meeting was

called, we would determine if an IMT meeting was required. If yes, we would

then engage the relevant system experts and publish a report when the incident

was cleared.

Service Level Agreement (SLA) / Audit Management

Once outsourced to Amdocs, we established SLA’s to demonstrate to A&T that

they were receiving the same performance as they were pre-outsourcing. I

developed the Excel worksheets used by the teams to track their monthly

numbers.

I was personally responsible for my Operations team batch processing, the

enterprise file restore and the enterprise change management metrics.

Also we worked under audit conditions for both my operations team and the

data center facility. We were able to pass each audit with flying colors.

Whenever a question arose that required a technical review, I was generally

asked to run with it by management

Enterprise Change Manager

We were given a directive to implement the change management process across

the thirteen states in around 2 weeks. Working closely with the project

managers we were able to implement on time. Management selected me to be

the enterprise change manager which I accepted.

Project Management

I have worked on numerous plans over the years, from small to large. I took a

class on Microsoft Project in 1994 to help with resource allocation for a large

project at two sister automotive assembly facilities in Windsor, Ontario. Once I

really got into Project, I found it to be a great tool and used it for everything that

I could think of from showing how the batch processing ran in a picture to a plan

to roll out a web client for BMC Remedy to the 10,000 users.
