As a contracted HSE Manager my duties included, but were not limited to :

Guide and support the Senior Operating team in developing the business unit's HSE management and adoption

plan complete with annual objectives.

Ensure Divisional HSE operating procedure and targets comply with corporate objectives and regulatory

requirements.

Ensure Standard operating Procedures adequately identify and address hazards to proactively reduce risk and

potential loss exposures.

Assist in the development and lead the divisional implementation of corporate HSE process, program, codes, and

practices and setting corporate safety direction.

Establish the divisional investment required to build and maintain a leading HS&E program.

Oversee the implementation of corporate HS&E policies, processes and systems.

Lead by demonstrating the required behaviours, attitudes and mindset to further develop an already strong

corporate safety culture.

Act as a change agent to integrate HS&E processes consistent with corporate initiatives into the core business

process.

Support HSE internal audit, corporate monitoring and record keeping efforts.

Collaborate with key stakeholders, division and support groups in the identification and prioritization of HS&E

initiatives.

Build the trust and respect required to maintain long-term relationships with internal and external business

partners.

Provide leadership and direction to ensure the successful delivery, implementation and administration of

corporate HS&E policies, processes and systems.

Manage all HS&E activities within the operational context (i.e. ensure plans, tools, and processes are in place to

allow for success).

Manage performance of direct reports. Set and communicate goals, strategic direction and priorities to ensure

success. Ensure plans are consistent with overall HS&E Strategy and Corporate Mandates.

Maintain knowledge of current HS&E management practices, trends and technologies by developing industry

working relationships and participating in exchange groups, associations and committe es.

Participate in the departmental budgeting and planning process. Manage the budget for all areas of

responsibility.

Develop, facilitate and coordinate corporate HS&E training that addresses strategic priorities, regulatory

requirements and growth of individuals.

Conduct investigations into major incidents.

Lead the HSE support for wining and planning new projects ensuring the early and complete integr ation of

HS&E into all projects

As a contracted Safety Consultant/Advisor my duties included but were no t limited to:

Communicate and coordinate H&S procedures, policies and systems on daily basis.

Implement H&S programs: provide internal training or arrange external safety training to site employees.

Conduct daily tailgate/toolbox meetings.

Conduct orientations.

Provide Emergency Medical Response.

Conduct safety compliance audits.

Investigate all injuries, accidents and near misses. Identify the causes and advise on any improvement in safety

standards that need to be made to prevent future incidents.

Conduct Safety inspections.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of and enforce OH&S legislation and codes of practice.

Encourage and educate employees to take precautions and adhere to safety rules to protect themselves and the

equipment they use from damage.

Identify and review various health and safety concerns specific to the work site.

Ensure construction site activities do not put non-construction site people outside of the site at risk.
