Sr. Principal Lead Systems Integration Engineer March 2007 to Present

• SME with extensive knowledge and experience in Packet Core products, standards, and solutions for 3G, LTE/EPC, G/U and IP transport, & converged Core solutions.

• Design, architect, test and integrate end to end all IP 3G, 4G/LTE networks according to 3GPP and IETF standards using I-HSPA packet core, IMS and PoC application solution by Alcatel-Lucent, Nokia Siemens Networks and Cisco product.

• Integrate mobile satellite and terrestrial communications network that will

provide universal access throughout North America.

• Integrate handset with packet core and IMS network; establish true all IP call between two mobile and wireline handsets.

• Work with multiple vendors to evaluate the product so that it can be used in lab and field for testing and troubleshooting.

• Systems and network integration of Nokia Siemens Networks 3.5G, ANSI SS7, Sigtran core network with Alcatel-Lucent IMS, MGW, MGCP, PoC, HSS and HLR. Integrate and test with Hughes Networks Satellite Base station system (S-BSS).

• To test capacity, performance and for proof of concept tests were ran with two features enabled deep packet inspection (DPI) and CDR on Cisco GGSN and Nokia Flexi ISN GGSN.

• Used NEMO to test and troubleshoot signaling message and different state of RRC cells URA_PCH, FECH, DCH and PCH.

• Configure and test IMS Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) and VOIP signaling traffic, using Empirix FX-IP, G5 and IMS DEX emulator. Monitor signaling and bearer traffic with Empirix HCA (Hammer Call Analyzer), XMS and WireShark.

• Develop and execute test cases to verify GPRS/EDGE and UMTS signaling, data capacity, performance, robustness, overload, KPI, upgrades, user acceptance testing and writing of test plans and test cases for every new release.

• Design, architect, implement, test, validate and troubleshoot calls from end to end on real SGSN, GGSN, MSC, VLR, HLR, DNS, DHCP, Firewall, SS7 and Sigtran.

• Managed and designed EMS network elements PASSPORT switches using Nortel’s Magellan Network Management System (NMS) and NetExpert tools. Involved in Fault management (monitoring, isolating and correcting faults in the network), Configuration management (defining the network components) and Performance management (monitoring and adjusting the performance of network devices) of Passport Management System, which is used for the frame relay connection for Passport nodes.

• Support the configuration of Nortel’s Passport ATM/Frame Relay Switch network. The operation includes configuring ATM (DS1, DS3 and OC3 circuits), Frame Relay (DSIC, DS3C, and circuit card), and FR-ATM inter-working and High Speed Frame Relay access (HSSI and DS3 circuit’s cards).

• Installed and configured HP OpenView tools, including MeasureWare, PerfView, GlancePlus, OVO and NNM.

• Data collection and configuration on the new switches. Adding new Passport and ION switches to NMS (Network Management System), SM (Service Monitor), and MDP (Magellan Data Provider).

• Daily tasks include testing, installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of different application software and hardware. Reproduce the customer’s problem in our data lab for troubleshooting as well as testing the above data products.

• Using NetExpert coded the functionality to create and delete the UNI and NNI signaling path for the ATM switch.

• Provide switch performance data in the form GUI using shell script and awk.

• Using SNMP Set/Get from the MIB table provided the performance data to user.
