Job Description:
Controls Engineer
We are looking for an engineer who has the ability to work without direct supervision and meet set timelines.
Works well under pressure.
Can take a project from conception to production.
Most importantly has the ability to design, startup, and debug large and small scale automated robotic applications.
We have many customers in the automotive industry in the Detroit area as well as nationwide customers who use various Controls.
Knowledge of:
Single and three phase AC voltage as well as 24VDC control circuitry.
Control reliable safety circuits
Dual channel safeties
Motor starter circuits and VFD Control
Working knowledge of the following software basic applications.
Rockwell:
RS Logix: 5, 500, and 5000 - CLX and GuardLogix development.
Panel Builder: 1400, 32, RS View ME
Networks for: Control Net, DeviceNet, EtherNet DH+/RIO
Drive Applications: 1336, 700, 700SII, GML Commander, DriveLogix
Siemens:
Step 7 V5.4, 5.5
Safety V5.4
WinCC Flexible 2008
Profibus
Profinet
AutoCad through 2012
AcceliCad
Microsoft Windows through Windows 7
Microsoft 2007 Office suite
Visual Basic, VB6, C, and C++
Virtual Machine
Safety Certifications:
We prefer our employees to have the following safety certifications, but not always a requirement:
Ford / Rockwell GuardLogix Safety Certification
GM CCRW / MAAC
