Welding Manufacture Engineer

Job Description

Summary: Seeking a Weld Manufacturing Engineer with experience in robotic welding, project management, and Lean Manufacturing principles.

Requirements:

2-3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering.

Experience working in a welding environment; robotic welding knowledge preferred.

Proficiency in Creo with at least 1 year of experience.

Knowledge of weld processes, quality, tooling, tool design, total preventative maintenance, and facilities.

Understanding of capital budgeting and equipment justification.

Experience in project management for strategic or large tactical projects.

Familiarity with repetitive manufacturing environments.

Preferred Skills:

Experience programming and troubleshooting robotic welding systems; training provided if necessary.

Understanding of Lean Manufacturing & Quality Production System principles.

Responsibilities:

Lead team studies to improve capacity, productivity, and efficiency.

Identify and implement Continuous Improvement projects focusing on cost reduction, quality improvement, safety enhancement, and product delivery optimization.

Establish part routings, operating methods, mechanical data sheets, sequence of events layouts, tool conception/designs, part/equipment costs analysis, quality plans and labor standards.

Program and troubleshoot robotic welding systems as needed.

Note: This role involves spending approximately 75% of the time on the shop floor and 25% at a desk. Candidates with weld engineering/programming experience will be given priority consideration.

Pay Details: $34.00 to $45.00 per hour
