Job Type: Full Time (Salary Exempt) (availability to work nights and/or weekends a must)

Position Summary

The Production Manager position based in Soho. This role encompasses overseeing the entire production process, ensuring efficiency, meeting production goals, maintaining the highest quality and safety standards, and leading daily business operations. The successful candidate will manage the "kitchen" for all Sloomoo Institute products, including retail, e-commerce, and attractions, while handling team management, forecasting, budget control, and ensuring compliance with operational standards. This is a leadership role that requires flexibility, innovation, and a comprehensive approach within a dynamic startup environment.

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the Sloomoo Production team, planning staffing for developments, unique events, and daily operations across the site.

Foster a collaborative effort with all operational departments to continuously review and improve working practices, aiming to reduce accidents and prioritize safety.

Chair quarterly Health & Safety Committee meetings, promoting cross-departmental collaboration.

Actively collaborate with local businesses to build a diverse and neurodiverse workforce.

Maintain a calm and consistent leadership presence in high-pressure situations, setting clear expectations for all team members.

Ensure adherence to safety protocols and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), with comprehensive training for staff.

Resolve employee disputes in partnership with HR, optimizing E-commerce operations for superior customer support.

Drive the enhancement of recipes and processes across all locations for guest satisfaction and consistency in product quality.

Oversee the production forecasting and management with the General Manager, focusing on efficiency, budget adherence, and quality control.

Conduct ongoing financial reconciliations and manage Experience Labor spending to meet budgetary goals.

Establish and oversee structured processes for procurement, inventory management, quality control, packing, and shipping.

Analyze operational data to improve staffing efficiency, production quality, and e-commerce fulfillment, ensuring timely and budget-conscious order completion.

Maintain adequate inventory levels in collaboration with key management roles, aiming for high employee retention and satisfaction levels.

Contribute to the Sloomoo Brand's evolution, supporting marketing initiatives and ensuring a safe, productive environment.

Coordinate closely with the Experience Manager and the Head of Marketing to align production with marketing strategies and customer expectations.

Embrace a data-driven approach to decision-making in sales and production, undertaking additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

At least 7+ years in leadership roles within production or manufacturing, ideally in a startup environment. Experience in planning, launching, and growing operational capacities is essential.

Collage degree or equivalent work experience.

Advanced skills in Fishbowl Inventory, ERP systems, or familiarity with CRM software.

Strong ability to lead, motivate, and communicate with diverse teams, managing high-pressure situations effectively.

Demonstrated ability to analyze performance data, make informed decisions, and drive continuous improvement.

Experience in fostering an inclusive work environment and promoting diversity and professional development within teams.

Experience in product manufacturing and forecasting.

Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Slack, Project Management Systems (Asana or similar).

Familiarity with scheduling software and payroll systems.
