Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
Location: Grove City, Ohio
Description: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our school-based team in Grove City, OH. The RBT will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement behavior intervention plans and support students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities in achieving their individual goals.
Responsibilities:
Implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) designed by the BCBA to address target behaviors and skill deficits of students with ASD and other developmental disabilities
Provide one-on-one and small group instruction to students to teach and reinforce adaptive skills, munication skills, social skills, and appropriate behavior
Collect data on student progress and behavior using standardized assessment tools and behavior tracking systems
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to ensure consistency in implementing behavior strategies and supports across different settings (e.g., classroom, playground, cafeteria)
Assist in the development and maintenance of a positive and supportive learning environment that promotes student engagement and success
Participate in team meetings, trainings, and professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills in behavior analysis and intervention techniques
Educational Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
pletion of 40-hour Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training program
Certifications:
Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
Preferred Skills:
Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other developmental disabilities
Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and strategies
Strong munication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students
